Alex Ivanets

Alex started his dancing career in Ukraine where he was born. His first passion was ballet which he did for 6 years and afterwards switched to Ballroom and Latin-American. After few years of training Alex won the Ukraine National Under 21 Championships. His competitive journey continued in Poland for a few years. Eventually in 2001 Alex formed a partnership with Lisa Bellinger and moved to live in Southampton, United Kingdom.

During their lucrative competitive career Alex & Lisa were 5 times UK Closed Professional Latin Champions, 5 times UK Amateur Latin Champions, British Professional South American Show dance Champions, 7th European Championships, and finalists of numerous competitions all over the world. They both hold their Licenciate Professional qualifications with UKA and Associate with IDTA societies and hold Championship adjudicating licences.

Alex with his wife Lisa are founders and principals of A&L Dance Academy in Southampton training dancers of all levels and abilities to dance. They were lucky to win a title “Teacher of the Year” at Stars of the Future event 5 times

Lisa Bellinger-Ivanets

Started Dancing at the age of 3

Danced Ballet, tap, jazz, Street, Disco , Gymnastics, Modern, and Ballroom and Latin Performed at the age of 10 in two Pantomimes at the Famous Mayflower Theatre, Southampton alongside Cannon and Ball, Neighbours star Stefan Dennis, Danny La Rue, one of the Nolan sisters,Christopher Biggins in Babes in the Wood and ‘Aladdin’ Was juvenile Champion and was the first to win every day at the British Open Dance Festival held in Blackpool with her partner James Fenemore Became Junior Champion with Warren Boyce Youth Champion of the Open British Championships at the tender age of 18 5 x Amateur Champion with her husband and dance partner Alex Ivanets 5 x Professional Champion with her husband and dance partner Alex Ivanets British Professional South American Show dance Champion 5 x European Professional Latin Semi Finalist Choreographed for Strictly Come Dancing Choreographer of the opening ceremony of the World Championships A highly established Coach and has trained many dancers to become Champions over the years and even World Finalists and World Champions. Travelled all over the world competing and representing England with her husband Alex Ivanets Qualfied Championship Adjudicator UKA Member

Linda Bellinger

Started dancing at the age of 4 and been partners with Robert Bellinger since they were 6 and 7(longest dance partnership in history to this date)

Steve Holes

Steve always wanted to learn to dance but never had the opportunity until he was an adult. He started dancing at a local Bournemouth medallist school where he lived at the time and entered his first competition at 36. Steve then moved to train with Alex and Lisa.

He competes with his wife Tina and went on to become the World Over 45’s Latin Champion as well as multiple UK Closed Over 50’s & Over 45’s Latin Champion and British Closed Over 50’s Latin Champion. He turned professional in 2016 and was a finalist in the Professional Over 40’s World Latin Championships.

Steve has grown up twin boys both of whom danced as children and one is now also a professional teacher

“Ballroom and Latin Dancing is a great for keeping fit and it doesn’t matter how young or old you are you can still learn at your own pace and to the level you want to” says Steve

Tina Holes

Tina started dancing as an adult in a medallist school and entered her first competition at 34! After getting the dancing and competing bug she moved to train at A&L and went on to become the World Over 45’s Latin Champion as well as multiple UK Closed Over 50’s & Over 45’s Latin Champion and British Closed Over 50’s Latin Champion. She turned professional in 2016 and was a finalist in the Professional Over 40’s World Latin Championships.

Tina is married to Steve who is her dance partner and they have two grown up children both of whom danced and one is now also a professional teacher

“Dancing is a great hobby, keeps you fit and certainly helps to keep you young! Careful though as once you get the bug you will want to do more!” says Tina
